For Immediate Release
ST. LOUIS (March 10, 2006) – Advanced ICU Care announced today that it has named Scott Turner as Vice President of Sales. A medical service company providing high-quality, remote critical care, Advanced ICU Care connects critical care medicine physicians (intensivists) to patients in intensive care units using sophisticated communications technology.
In this newly created role, Turner will lead all sales-related initiatives and business development activities for the company. His sales team will work directly with hospital administration, physicians and nurses, and senior executives to deliver Advanced ICU Care’s critical care medicine services to hospital ICUs, providing an enhanced level of care for the hospitals’ most critically ill patients.
“Scott brings to us a highly skilled background in serving clients across very specialized fields,” said David Schopp, president of Advanced ICU Care. “A proven leader with demonstrated sales experience, Scott will play a key role in helping us build upon our strong foundation, continue to grow our business, and bring this life-saving technology to ICU patients across the country.”
Turner possesses 24 years of progressive sales and management experience serving clients across a number of markets, including healthcare, financial services, consumer products and technology. Most recently, he was vice president of national accounts for Bowe Bell+Howell, a provider of document processing and mailing software solutions. He has led sales organizations focusing on capital equipment, professional services and software sales, along with after-market services. Turner has achieved significant sales growth in each of these industries, representing companies spanning from early-stage businesses to Fortune 1000-level firms. He holds an MBA from Washington University’s John M. Olin School of Business, where he serves on the Alumni Board of Directors.
Advanced ICU Care is currently providing remote critical care to ICU patients at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City, Missouri and Saint Clare’s Hospital in Weston, Wisconsin. With a nationwide shortage of intensivists – currently only one in every five hospitals has intensivists on staff – Advanced ICU Care expects to expand its services to community hospitals across the nation.
