Our Culture

Our goal is to transform ICU patient care and help hospitals manage their ICUs more effectively through a proven process improvement program and intensivist-led care. Numerous published studies, as well as the results we see at our client hospitals, show that care by intensivists, following evidence-based care practices, greatly improves ICU patient outcomes.

Our company is fast-growing, offering a collegial, collaborative environment where each one of us is helping to provide better care for hospital ICU patients through process improvement, measurement and critical care expertise. Our focus is on optimizing care in the ICU - at the bedside and through telemedicine - and we strive to hire clinicians and others who can help us advance our goals.

While we all share a common goal of improving healthcare, we value our employee's individual strengths, their unique characteristics and their many contributions to our company - and we recognize and reward them heartily. We believe the best leaders are ones that come from within and there are ample opportunities for professional growth; in fact, most of our clinical and operations leaders have been promoted into their current positions. We work closely with the clinical team to provide opportunities to learn and support them in obtaining their CME credits. Our medical staff is also eligible for equity track compensation. Our employees voted us one of the best 100 companies to work for in healthcare (Modern Healthcare, 2008), citing our company-wide commitment to patient care and measurement, employee training and development, and value on communication.

A healthcare company that practices what we preach, we are dedicated to health and wellness and believe that work-life balance is critical. Our benefits rival those of most any company of our size and larger. For example, every full-time employee has company-provided, long-term and short-term disability coverage. We also provide medical malpractice insurance for our medical staff and sponsor H1B visas. We know that the time our employees spend outside of work is just as important as the time they spend here. For instance, our intensivists have no on-call, plus enjoy a work-life balance with a practice including both bedside and virtual ICU care. We also work closely with the clinical team to provide flexible scheduling.

Our client hospitals tell us that each one of our clinicians is a part of their local teams. This is what we aim for in providing collaborative, best quality care and extending the reach of critical care expertise to every ICU patient.
