ST. LOUIS (March 9, 2007) - Advanced ICU Care, a medical services company delivering board-certified critical care physicians (intensivists) and nurses to hospital ICU patients using telemedicine technology, announced today that it has named Mikhail Averbukh as Clinical Application Specialist.
In this role, Averbukh will lead program configuration, implementation, and software and hardware support initiatives for the company's eICU® system, a clinical management and communications technology which allows for the remote care and monitoring of critically ill patients. Averbukh will be the primary technical point of contact for Advanced ICU Care's hospital partners, the company's clinical team and its technology partners. He will support the hospitals' technical implementation process, provide ongoing program support, conduct training and develop materials to support clinical system education efforts.

"His far-reaching expertise in systems management, analysis, testing and training will be invaluable as we continue to roll out this model of care to hospitals throughout the country."
Averbukh has nearly 10 years of information technology experience, serving a wide variety of corporations in industries such as healthcare, financial services and agriculture. Most recently, he was an information technology manager for Paramount Mortgage Company and McBride & Sons Mortgage Company, where he provided database administration of enterprise-wide systems and led end-user training and support. Previously, he spent three years at ABL Solutions as a technical project manager. After beginning his career at Washington University, he was an IT consultant for several Fortune 500 companies. He received his master's degree in information management from Washington University, a master's degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a bachelor's degree from Gorky State Technical University in Gorky, Russia.
