ST. LOUIS (May 21, 2008) – Advanced ICU Care, a medical services company delivering board-certified critical care physicians (intensivists) and nurses to hospital ICU patients using telemedicine technology, announced today that it has promoted Mikhail Averbukh to Director – Information Technology.
In this role, Averbukh will continue to lead program configuration, implementation, and software and hardware support initiatives for the company’s eICU® system, a clinical management and communications technology which allows for the remote care and monitoring of critically ill patients. He will also oversee technical support, clinical system training and education efforts, and technical implementation processes at Advanced ICU Care’s client hospitals.

Averbukh has 10 years of information technology experience, serving a wide variety of corporations in industries such as healthcare, financial services and agriculture. He received his master’s degree in information management from Washington University, a master’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree from Gorky State Technical University in Gorky, Russia.
