ST. LOUIS (February 14, 2008) – Advanced ICU Care, a medical services company delivering board-certified critical care physicians (intensivists) and nurses to hospital ICU patients using telemedicine technology, announced today that it has named Roland Van Heest as Director of Finance and Bradford Grueneberg as Information Services (IS) Analyst.

As Director of Finance, Van Heest will lead budget and forecasting processes, facilitate and coordinate financial reporting, and support Advanced ICU Care's risk management functions. This newly created role comes as the company continues to expand its program to hospitals nationwide.

“Roland is an excellent fit for this new position,” said David Schopp, president and chief operating officer of Advanced ICU Care. “His extensive experience in finance will help us continue to grow our company and achieve financial results.”

Van Heest has 15 years experience in finance, serving as controller, fiscal operations manager, accountant and auditor. Most recently, he was with Charter Communications, holding roles in operations as well as sales and marketing.  Prior to joining Charter, Van Heest was the controller for Falcon/Capital Cable, G.P., where he facilitated the sale of the company to Charter Communications. He began his career as an internal auditor for the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Van Heest holds a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Schopp noted that the company’s other newly created role is in technology, a key area for Advanced ICU Care, which uses a clinical management and communications technology system that enables the remote care and monitoring of critically ill patients.

In the role of IS Analyst, Grueneberg will focus primarily on providing technical support for Advanced ICU Care's servers and workstations. He will also support application and technical implementation of the company’s eICU® technical platform.

“Bradford’s support and implementation experience will be extremely valuable to the end users of the technology – the physicians and nurses here at our eICU Operations Center as well as those at our client hospitals across the U.S.,” added Mikhail Averbukh, Advanced ICU Care’s information services manager.

Before joining Advanced ICU Care, Grueneberg worked at Union Pacific Railroad and its subsidiary, Transentric, for eight years as a PC support specialist, project engineer and network administrator. Prior to that, he held an IS consulting role with Aviant. Earlier in his career, he served as a network administrator for White-Rodgers and as an electronic technician for McDonnell Douglas Corporation and Electronic & Space Corporation. Grueneberg earned a bachelor’s degree in information systems from Maryville University and an associate in applied science degree from St. Louis Community College.
