ST. LOUIS (July 31, 2007) - Advanced ICU Care, a medical services company delivering board-certified critical care physicians (intensivists) and nurses to hospital ICU patients using telemedicine technology, announced today that it has named Kris Wilson as Credentialing Manager.
In this role, Wilson manages the process of securing and maintaining all physician and nurse state licenses and medical privileges in all states in which Advanced ICU Care physicians and nurses practice. Advanced ICU Care's medical staff currently provides remote care and monitoring to ICU patients in seven hospitals across three states.
Wilson will also lead efforts in obtaining and maintaining JCAHO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) accreditation for the Certified Verification Organization (CVO) designation.
"With a strong background in credentialing and excellent organizational and leadership skills, Kris will play a key role in our operations," said David Schopp, president and chief operating officer of Advanced ICU Care. "This position is increasingly important as we continue to grow our company, bring on additional critical care specialists, and deliver this model of care to more hospitals across the U.S."
Previously, Wilson served as credential manager for eight years for Spectrum Healthcare Resources (SHR), where she managed a 24-person credentialing team. She oversaw the maintenance and updates on 3,500 paraprofessionals, physicians, dentists and ancillary personnel contracted and employed by SHR. Wilson began her career with Spectrum Healthcare Services in 1991, gaining expertise in credentialing as well as financial reporting and data systems.
